To continually improve procedures to assure patient safety at Cedars-Sinai, we measure ourselves against standards set nationally through The Joint Commission and those identified by The Leapfrog Group.
In addition, Cedars-Sinai monitors the steps taken to prevent infections resulting from the need to have a central line inserted in a vein, inpatient surgery or outpatient surgery.
Patients at Cedars-Sinai also receive care designed to prevent blood clots after certain types of surgery.
