Initial Selection of Appropriate Antibiotic for Non-ICU Patients With Community-Acquired Pneumonia
Receiving an appropriate antibiotic to treat community-acquired pneumonia in patients who are not in an intensive care unit improves their health outcomes.
This measure reports how often patients with community-acquired pneumonia not cared for in intensive care units, were given the correct antibiotic within 24 hours of hospital arrival.
A high score is better than a low score.
