
For the safety of our patients, Cedars-Sinai has instituted a special infection control policy during the current flu season. The Medical Center is doing this to prevent transmission of the flu to patients, vistors and employees.
As a result, effective immediately, volunteers, visitors and family members under the age of 18 (and anyone with signs of influenza-like illness) will not be able to visit the Medical Center until further notice.
Teen volunteers are an integral part of Cedars-Sinai's operations and patient care. The Medical Center looks forward to welcoming back our volunteers - and enrolling new ones - as soon as we can.
This unique program is created for teens between the ages of 14 to 18 years of age. It is designed for teenagers who are seeking an experience in medicine, looking for community service, and searching for ways to help others. The Teen Volunteer Program consists of two sessions, each requiring a separate registration. Although hours may be flexible, we require teens to volunteer for two consecutive hours once a week during the Academic session, and increase the shift to four consecutive hours once a week during the Summer session.
