

Dr. Hakimian is Co-Director of the Gamma Knife Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute and a staff member in the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Cancer Center's Radiation Oncology program and the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center. He is also an associate professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
Dr. Hakimian's clinical expertise is in Gamma Knife, lung, gynecologic cancers and sarcomas. He is experienced with intraoperative radiation therapy, total body irradiation, hyperthermia, conformal prostate irradiation and brachytherapy.
Dr. Hakimian received his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine in 1991. His internship in internal medicine was completed at Wadsworth VA Medical Center in Los Angeles. While completing his residency at the UCI School of Medicine in the Oncology Program, Dr. Hakimian practiced as Chief Resident. Dr. Hakimian is board certified as a diplomate through the American College of Radiology with a subspecialty in therapeutic radiology. He is also certified through the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Hakimian is fluent in Spanish and Farsi.
