
Ronald S. Leuchter, MD is an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, with offices located in the Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute.
Dr. Leuchter's leading clinical expertise is in cancers of the female reproductive tract, with a special expertise and experience in ovarian cancer. He is a leader in advanced medical-surgical techniques including special abilities in performance of both laparoscopic and robotic procedures, and teaches other doctors in performing minimally invasive surgeries. Due to Dr. Leucter's renown, he treats many international patients.
Dr. Leuchter holds a faculty position as Associate Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Leuchter is a prominent medical researcher, acting as the principal investigator on numerous studies related to the optimal treatment of gynecologic cancers. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a subspecialty in gynecologic oncology.
Dr. Leuchter has authored more than 70 publications, many of which he has presented at medical conventions. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Leuchter completed an internship at Royal Columbia Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, a residency at CSMC and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA. Dr. Leuchter received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada in 1970.
